The GAS Can

News from the Golden Age Society Mayo turns 80 - On November 20, 1996, a dozen Golden Agers met at Cafe DiNapoli for a surprise birthday lunch for Gail Mayo. He was truly surprised since his birthday was still ten days away (November 30!) Everyone had a great time, especially when Gail's wife, Alvina treated everyone by picking up the tab for lunch! Paul Turner added to the celebration with a round of wine for the party. All were delighted to see Gail in good spirits and able to celebrate this milestone.

Coming Events

GAS Father-Son/Daughter Handball Doubles

This annual event will be held Saturday morning, January 11, 1997. Fathers must be 50 or older to qualify for this round robin doubles. Players who can "substitute" as a father or a son/daughter are encouraged to apply. Contact Jack Hickman at (612) 457-6105 for details.

GAS Sweet Hearts on Parade

A handball mixer followed by dinner at a fine restaurant with your special other. Tentative date is Friday, February 14, 1997, at 5:00 PM.
