The 2000 National Four-Wall Handball Tournament is only 12 months away! Your MSHA Board has set up an organization to make sure we host the best event ever. Each of the Board members will serve as a liaison on committees ranging from fund raising to food. Many MSHA members signed up as volunteers at our tournaments this year and we will be calling on all of you to help where you can. If you are looking to get involved, contact our tournament chair, Gary Rohrer at (612) 920-8876 or fillings@bigplanet.com . We will have a volunteer meeting in July.

Fund raising efforts are the first order of business and efforts are already under way. The sponsorship committee of Gary Rohrer, Jon Andresen, Brett Broxey, Matt Hiber, Steve Johnson, and John Stout are assembling a sponsorship packet that you can provide any potential sponsor. We hope to complete all fund raising efforts by the end of 1999. If you know of a potential sponsor or would like to help on this committee, contact any member.

Publicity, hospitality, tournament program, and other committees have yet to be formed.

You can also help by purchasing commemorative handball gloves at $20/pair. These special edition, maroon and gold, Owen gloves with a special 2000 Nationals Patch and MSHA embroidered on the side of each thumb proved to be a big hit at the state tournaments. If you would like some in your collection or to give as a gift, contact Gary Rohrer. Proceeds from the sale of these gloves goes to the Nationals fund raising effort.
