PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

            Greetings MOAA members,

Summer is coming to an end.  This means that the Venice Area Chapter MOAA fall activities will begin soon.  This newsletter contains information about these activities.  This is a good time to invite a prospective member to attend a chapter function.  We can always use more members.

Progress is being made on the Sarasota National Cemetery with the appointment by the Department of Veterans Affairs of Sandra M Beckley as director.  She is expected to begin her duties as director in mid October, 2007.  The National Cemetery is currently in the design phase with the first burials anticipated in October 2008.

Sincerely, Alf
