Brett's 1972 Plymouth Satellite

Known to some folks as the Reedmobile, this beastie is a 1972 Plymouth Satellite 4 door with a 318, 2bbl carb, and automatic tranny. When I got it from Reed, he mentioned that it supposedly had 170,000 miles on it, but all of the other indicators (carpet condition, pedal wear, chasis condition) don't jive with that... I'm thinking if you remove that 1 it'll be more accurate. 70.000 miles

.

It was hit in the front end and "totaled" by the oh so astute folks at the insurance company. Reed didn't have the time to deal with it, or the space...so I adopted it. Look what followed me home, Mom...can I keep it?

Purely minor damage, really. Notihng past the core support was touched, and it certainly didn't effect the frame.

I found a 73 Satellite 4 door down at Black Diamond wrecking, that felt a need to donate some parts to the repair of the Reedmobile. A perfect hood, a fixable fender, and a good bumper just kinda stood up and begged to come home with me. So, after a brief and enthusiastic arguement with the guardians of the various parts (Those damn rusty bolts!) I cruised away with the needed items. The grill was perfect on the 73, but they're different than the 72s so I didn't grab it.

Now all I need is a 72 grill, and to repair, repaint and reinstall the new front end pieces, and the Reedmobile will be back in action.
