Bio: Captain Scilding was born on an idyllic world, Engla III.  It is a slightly higher gravity world, seeded by the Preservers long ago with people from England circa 500 AD.  He was an active child, having played sports and traveled across his world when young.  When 18, he joined his planet's military for 4 years, then joined Starfleet Academy at 22.  He met his wife while on shore leave from the Enterprise C in 2336, when she was studying farming technology in Vinland on their home planet.  They married shortly thereafter, and had eight children with her by 2365.  The two often traveled together, but Elizabeth preferred to stay on Engla III, believing it a better environment to raise her children than on a starship.  Having been promoted to Captain in 2352, he commanded the USS Coulter from 2352 to 2359, and the USS Gladiator from 2359 to 2368, when it was destroyed at Wolf 359.

He is described by his crews as dedicated, loyal, fair, and honorable.  He treats crewmen fairly, and will stand up for them when he believes they have been wronged in some way.  He is the type of captain that can come up with a way to win, even if everything looks lost, by finding the one thing everyone else has overlooked.  He has extensive combat experience, and is well versed in several martial arts styles.  He was also a loving husband to his wife and children, having a farm with them on his home planet, in the equivalent continent of Australia, called Suuthland.  His extended family is quite large, and helped him when he returned home after their deaths.

2332 - Joined Starfleet Academy

2336 - graduated with honors; first in class in tactics and command; assigned to Enterprise C as tactical officer

2340 - transferred to USS Excalibur, NCC-26517 as Lieutenant; becomes second officer 8 months later during battle with a Gorn fleet

2345 - promoted to Lieutenant Commander, transferred to Starbase 250 for 6 months for advanced training; resumes duty on USS Kierkegaard

2348 - promoted to Commander, first officer of the USS Reagan, NCC-51322

2350 - promoted to Captain after death of Captain Xrixl Kchala in fight with unknown ship (later found to be Breen)

2367 - loses USS Constantine at Wolf 359, rescues 14 crewmen personally; after rescue by USS Packard, leaves Starfleet for homeworld

2368 - reactivated and assigned to USS Utopia

2369 - USS Utopia launches
