About Us
As a parent of a busy child, I needed to organize all sorts of information, from children's activities and local events to family-friendly restaurants, parenting resources, and useful web sites. In the summer of 2003, I started emailing friends about local child-centered happenings in my community. That email expanded into a local BedfordKids web site. In 2007, I thought, why not go national? And Mom Basics came into being.
If you have any suggestions or resources to add to Mom Basics, please email me. And please share this link with others. Thanks!

Here are a few links that have touched my life.
ALS Association (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease).
Student Conservation Association: Internships and summer programs at national parks. The SCA offers an amazing work experience. Through the SCA, I spent 13 weeks at Mesa Verde National Park, cataloging artifacts, and every weekend I explored ancient Native American ruins in the Four Corners area. |
