Jascha Heifetz was clearly the most prestigious solo musical performer of the twentieth century.  The reputation of this virtuoso violinist remains securely unchallenged, showing no sign of dimming with time.  This visual essay presents a portrait of the man and his music.  David Kaplan will present the program, introducing it with a brief commentary.  (Time - 2:00 hours)

by Diane Lorden
A class in portraiture that covers basic techniques in both pencil and painting.  Techniques in drawing people from life as well as various methods for transferring photographs will be demonstrated and practiced.  The beautiful and rarely used Renaissance painting style of egg tempra and oils with dry potters colors will also be discussed.
