HATTheatre was founded by 2 homeschooling families 15 years ago as a way to make learning about theatre fun, non-competitive, and accessible to as many as possible. "Get in the Act!" (ages 6-9). Thurs, Sept 25-Nov 13, 2:30-3:30pm. Learn all about the magical world of theatre, both onstage and backstage, work with improv. games, create your own scenes with costumes and props and work with classic fairy tale scripts, choreography your own cool dance moves to a Broadway song, develop confidence in public speaking, and have fun putting together a complete, exciting, fantastical original revue that combines the things YOU choose (acting, singing, or dance moves) for a performance on the last day for an invited audience of family and friends.
"Theatre Connection" (ages 10 and up). Tues, Sept 30-Nove 18, 2:30-4pm. What connects one character to another in a play? How do you write a whole script and make sure it all makes sense? Well, in this class you will have the chance to create your own characters, put them in any place and time you wish, dress them in costumes and make them look whatever age you choose (old-age makeup is so much fun!), develop dialogue for them, create a set for them to move on, and then bring them to life in a performance onstage. You are only limited by your imagination!
"Creative Dramatics" (ages 4-5). Wed, Oct 1-Nov 5, 10:30-11:30am. In this class children will explore the world of theatre while expanding their natural creativity and imagination. Using costumes and props, and basic set pieces, children will create original short scenes complete with characters, movement, and dialogue, gain confidence in themselves, learn how to work well with others in a group, and much more. Includes a performance on the last day of class for an invited audience of parents and friends.
"Musical Magic" (ages 4-5). Mon, Sept 29-Nov 3, 10:30-11:30am. Does your child love to sing? Do they dance around the house to their own beat, march to their own drummer, perhaps have an energy and independence that you would like to channel in a positive way? Then this is the class for them! During the 6 weeks, children will create a mini-musical while using their voices and bodies in new and creative ways. Add in costumes and props, and a bit of drama, and you have a fantastic performance at the end for an invited audience of family and friends. Everyone will have a chance to shine!

Their membership is inclusive and open to everyone. Parent participation is required. Their energetic moms take turns teaching team building skills, writing, art, and science. homeschooled students the opportunity to enroll in upper level courses,
including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, upper level foreign language

J Sargeant Reynolds Community College
(Richmond City and East Parham Rd Campuses) allows homeschool students
who are at least 13 years of age to enroll in college level courses
prior to completion of home school. A
Home Schooled
Student Enrollment form signed by the parent serving as "principal"
and a copy of the letter from the respective county/city school system
acknowledging the student's homeschool status should be submitted to
Central Admissions and Records. The Director of Admissions and Records
must first approve each enrollment, and the student must meet academic

John Tyler Community College, 13101
Jefferson Davis Highway, Chester, allows concurrent enrollment of
homeschool students who have completed the equivalent of the sophomore
year of high school studies or are at least 16 years old. For additional
