Special Olympics of Virginia
The Special Olympics of Virginia is looking for volunteers year-round - children and teenagers. To volunteer with Special Olympics Virginia, an application and screening form must be completed and a background check may be carried out. Our goal is to best match your interests, talents and availability with our opportunities so that you have a fulfilling volunteer experience with us! Managing an event for 1,800 people requires a huge number of volunteers. We generally look for groups to fill specific responsibilities and work with a group leader to recruit and train volunteers. Individuals can also volunteer, but may not receive their assignment until the day of the event.
