Roots and Shoots
Both Hanover Homeschoolers and LAFH have Roots & Shoots groups. Roots & Shoots, founded by Dr. Jane Goodall, is a global program for ages 9-16 emphasizing the principle that knowledge leads to compassion, which inspires
action. Both the LAFH group in Chesterfield County and the HHS group show care and concern in three areas: the human community, animals, and the environment.
