Homeschool Mondays at the Virginia Aviation Museum
The Virginia Aviation Museum located at the Richmond International Airport at 5701 Huntsman Road near Sandston, have Homeschool Mondays on the third Monday of each month (fourth Monday in January and February) at 9:30am or 11am. Jan: Engines: Harnessing Power, Feb: Black Wings, Mar: Female Flyers, Apr: Kites, May: Helicopters, Jun: Rockets, Jul: Paper Airplanes, Aug: Just Plane Fun, Sep: Weather, Oct: Aerospace Structures, Nov: Ballooning, Dec: Wright Brothers. Fee: $1 per student plus museum admission (which is free to SMV or VAM members).

Musical Ambassadors Special Concert for Home School Families
The Richmond Symphony holds a special chamber music concert for homeschool families every September through its Musical Ambassadors Program, at the Weinstein Jewish Community Center, 5403 Monument Ave.
Four 30-minute programs begin at 9am. Tickets are $5 per person, available at the door, which allows you to stay for one or all four performances.

Homeschool Programs at Mariner's Museum (Newport News)
The Mariner's Museum, 100 Museum Drive, Newport News, is holding the following fun and educational
Family Days over the summer:
Chemistry, Conservation, & Civil War Ironclads. Appropriate for ages 13 and older. Limited to 10 families per session. Friday, June 27, 10am-4pm, and Friday, August 1, 10am-4pm. Joint conservators from The Mariner's Museum as they introduce students to the chemistry of conservation.
"I Spy" Photographic Adventure. Appropriate for ages 5 and older. Limited to 10 families per session. Friday, July 25, 10am-4pm. Learn to artiscally interpret the world as you see it with a camera. Includes paddle boat ride on Lake Maury with your family.
