Michaels Arts & Crafts holds the following homeschool art programs:

Amy Goodridge continues to teach art classes Tues and Wed for ages 3-5, and ages 6 and up, exposing children to world cultures, art history and art techniques. A monthly Painting Class for ages 8+ is held every 3rd Wed from 1-2:30pm. For detailed schedules, e-mail Amy.

Pine Camp Arts and Community Center, 4901 Old Brook Road, has "Art For Homeschooled Children" classes for 6-12 year olds. Drawing, painting, printmaking, pottery, and various crafts covered during the year. Classes Tues 1-3pm OR Thurs 10am-12pm. For more information call (804) 646-3677.
Art a la Carte, 1544 River Road West, have many homeschool art classes:
9-week art session on Weds beginning in March for homeschoolers aged 5-10.
6-week course starting the end of March on American art for ages 5-10.
Teenage homeschoolers are invited to join oil painting classes Mon afternoons.
Parents may stay in the classroom or in an adjoining room to watch a small child/sibling.

The Latin Ballet of Virginia have dance classes taught by Daina Fawn Cockrel, a former homeschooler: Ballet, Professional dance, Modern Dance, Body Sculpture, Dance Theatre, Flamenco, Spanish Language through Movement, Dance for Toddlers, Mommy & Me, Latin Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Soul Moves, Dance Fusion (World Dance),

All Star Dance Academy, 545 Southlake Blvd, have homeschool tap and ballet classes (half hour of each) every Wednesday: 12:30-1:30 Ballet/Tap 3-4 yr; 1:30 - 2:30 Ballet/Tap 5-7 yr; 2:30- 3:30 Ballet/Tap 8-10 yr.
All classes are closed to parents; however they hold parents days three times per year. Recitals are held on at the end of the year on a Saturday afternoon at the dance studio. ph (804) 379-9393.

Homeschool Dance Classes
Dancers Studio, 11000 Three Chopt Road, Suite F, is holding homeschool classes for ages 13 and up. Jazz/Tap classes are on Tuesdays at 1:30pm and Ballet classes are on Thursdays at 1:30pm.

Randy Patton teaches classical drawing classes to young people in their homes. These 6-week classes are for one hour each week, with up to 4 children per class. An adult guardian must be present during the entire lesson. The main goal is for the kids to have fun, and improve their skills. For more information, call (804) 501-8374.
