I was at the Sandstone concert this year, it was excellent!!! I'm only 25, but love the music. It was only my second concert ever, and it was memorable. Remembering the fond memories of the time travelor tour. The concert was out doors, it rained 4 solid days prior to the show. It stopped raining about an hour before show-time, but threatening clouds remained. When they began to play the Sun broke through the clouds and began to set. Awesome! Thanks for the site. They seem to get better and better! I saw them in Providence, RI in 1993 and they had people dancing in the aisles. I plan on seeing them whenever they are in the area.I am constantly surprised at the mix of people at the concerts---from toddlers to teens to middleagers (like me) to older people. I guess you can say that the group is ageless.....MAY THEY GO ON FOREVER!!! |

The trip from northern Maine to the southern Maine venues is at least a 600-mile roundtrip(Portland, Old Orchard Beach) and it is more than 900 miles, roundtrip, to Great Woods. I introduced my daughter to the joys of the Moody Blues at Great Woods in June, and she is now a convert! Thank you for the way you have captured the essence of the Moodies in this home page. You have provided a very comfortable place for those who have experienced the Moody Blues to continue or refresh their love of the music, the message, and the live performances. Thank you. I was, however the first in line at the front gate, having stood there for an hour and a half. It was worth it, though, as I claimed the best lawn seat available, at the dead center and front. I also have a lot of rare recordings. I have only been to 2 concerts, 1 at Hammersmith in 1972 and 1 in Adelaide in 1988, when all the Moodies autographed about 30 albums and I was allowed backstage. I've only seen them live once, in LaCrosse WI, with "Chicago". Both bands were incredible. There's never been music to compare to the "Moody Blues" - I hope they continue on forever. I was crusing the internet and just decided to type in the Moody Blues. I was very pleased that there were so many sights for such a great band. This will be the first fan mail that I have ever sent. I am 44 years old and remember hearing Tuesday Afternoon and Knights in White Satin for my first time on the radio station. I found out the artist name and emmediatly purchased the album. Ever since then I have idolized their music and respected their philosophy and insights. In my opion, they rate far above the Beatles and are one of the greatest bands of the century. They may not be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but neither is Beethoven. Bach, modern day sympnony orchestras, nor Yoni, for that matter. However, I wish they could, but I look at it as a compliment to them if there not. I would be interrested in finding some info on Justin Haward's life and where might I find some concert information on Justin Haward or the Moody Blues for my area, which includes Georgia, USA. I have seen the in cocert many many times. The Red Rocks is only about 5 miles from my house. If you have seen the video from that great concert, well I'm on that video about 12 different times. I had the great pleasure of meeting the guys backsatge in Denver in 1986. I got to spend about an hour. I got to tell me story of seeing Buddy Holly on Jan. 26, 1959, to both Justin and John. I could tell that they were thrilled with what I told them. I would enjoy hearing from other fans. |

Joined the bandwagon after seeing Red Rocks -PBS in Spring of '93, My family as often accompanied me on many of my 12-13 concerts since then at Hollywood Bowl, Las Vegas and once at the Blockbuster Pavillion. Saw Justin at first Coachhouse show in December last year. It's all sweet science and lovely, timeless art. Never get tired listening- it's always refreshing and energysing. How's my Internet spelling? Where's the spellcheck? Last add- I was able to meet Ivy and staff in Cobham in July which made up for no California tour stops. My two tickets to the July Coachhouse appearance did me a lot of good in London, but sent a colleague and his wife from work as my reps! Thanks for your contributions in sharing and presenting the infinite contributions from the Moody Blues which seem to touch a common chord for so many.................................... |
