Comments: I was searching for some Moody Blues album art to use as my desktop. I played a Moody Blues CD on my new (first) sound system for the pc and was amazed at how concise, clear, and surrealistic it was. I am a fan dating to 1970, and introduced my 10 year old son to the MB today. He asked me what the songs were about. It seemed to him that they were different from the songs he had been used to hearing, but he couldn't put his finger on exactly what they were about. I tried to explain, and I found that I couldn't verbalize exactly what they were. I told him he would just have to listen and decide for himself. I think he's hooked.

Comments: It's great to be back here again! Since I visited last time, I have developed two sites, one devoted to music and TV sitcom trading (check out my Moody Blues' collection): http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Venue/1980 and the other to music and tropical scenery: http://www.angelfire.com/az/musicollector. At this site, you can also see my picture taken with another British legend, Sir Cliff Richard. Anyone out there who is interested in trading rare music can pick from my 16,500+ song list. I may start trading audio files soon. And I'll say it again, Joyce:-) I NEVER THOUGHT I'D LIVE TO BE A MILLION!!! I first heard the Moodies when I was 15, back in southern India on the 1 million watt short wave station, The Voice of America. And the song they played was "Ride My See-Saw". It was the start of an unbelievable journey into music that has brought me to this point - where I have every album they have made together and collectively (and free, while I was in the record business.:-). I get goosebumps listening to some of their stuff! Fabulous stuff! Thank God for CDs I can now play their music without fear I will wear out the LPs. Only one way to listen to their music - LOUD!!! Great web page, Joyce!

Comments: The first time I remember paying serious attention to the Moody Blues was back in 1969. From that day the Moody Blues have been my favorite band! I've had the pleasure of hearing them twice in concert and now that I'm getting a little older, I find my memories of those days back in the late 60's and early 70's have a special place in my heart. Many of those memories are punctuated by the sounds of the Moody Blues. What a band!

Comments: Dear Friends, I have been listening to the Moody Blues since the late sixties. Their music truly inspires my spiritual life. I've been to several of their concerts in the New York and New Jersey area and look forward to their next tour and of course, their new recordings. I was fortunate enough to have attended a benefit concert they did in the early nineties at which time Justin and John were kind enough to autograph my Blue Jays LP, which happens to be one of my favorites. In the near future, I will be joining your club and look forward to (hopefully) meeting some new friends sho enjoy the magic of their words and music. Respectfully, Rita

Comments: I have been a Moody Blues fan since my freshman year in college (1976) at Concordia/Moorhead. "Threshold Of A Dream" was the LP that gave me my first taste... I wore it out! The lyrics to Moody Blues songs are a liberation, because they ask the questions that one needs to dare ponder, in order to venture on the journey of the "Examined Life" Without force feeding their own answers to these eternal questions, the Moody Blues continue to offer the listener permission to explore the unknown, and in many cases the unknowable, without expectations of the "Big Payoff" at the end. As Pirsig pleads in a favorite book, Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance, "The Journey has to provide the rewards, not the mere expectation of the completion of the trip"...This is important. I have recently found a new artist, who's writing and performances remind me of my discovery of the Moody Blues. Her name is Dar Williams. Dar Williams paints near perfect pictures with her words and voice. Her first CD, "The Honesty Room", her second, "Mortal City", and latest, "The End of Summer" are all jewels waiting to be examined. Word has it, that if you listen to a Dar CD 3 times, you are hooked! http://www.panix.com/~tneff/dar/ ...Is her main site, but if you look around the "Dar Web Ring", you will find lots of cool sites with lyrics & clips! Deep Peace, my husband and I found it in Cornwall, England last spring. We brought our Moodies tapes with us and now each note evokes that beautiful part of the world for us. I have been a fan of the Moody Blues since 1972, I have all of the recordings from "The Magnificent Moodies" (The pre-Hayward & Lodge days) to "A Night at Red Rocks". I am the second of three generations of my family to enjoy their music. My parents who are now in their 70s listen, and now my pre-teen sons listen (They will not ride in the car unless they are listening to "Red Rocks" or "Keys of the Kingdom"). Thank you to the Moody Blues for their musical encouragement to help me find my peace of mind. Please continue in the Search of the Lost Chord...I, as a loyal fan, am glad you have not yet found it.

Comments: Justin, Please re-release "Moving Mountains". It is one of the best solo works of all time. It has the passion of lovers, friends, and partners. (We have made love to this album.) It is a shame not to share this message to the masses. (I hurled that shoe at Ken, once.) John, You gave us "Natural Avenue". This is a free and easy place. It is real. We have been eagerly awaiting another solo from you. Your artistry is appreciated more than you will ever know. Ray, Our daughter decided to play flute, because you were her inspiration. Thank-you for that inspiration! Graeme, Those damn "Muddy Boots" leave tracks all over my carpet. Poetry is the voice of the soul. You have been the spirit of many of us all. Patrick, Get over it! Mike, TO A SPECIAL FRIEND... We enjoyed our visit with you. Your steps live on, when our granddaughter wants to hear your stories.

Comments: I have been a fan of the Moodies for many years, especially Justin. I have several of his solo ventures. I very much enjoyed your website, and the pictures from the Sandstone concert. The two concerts I attended at Star Lake Amphitheater the photo policy was the same as Sandstone. They even checked your handbag. I do recall seeing one of the security people confronting a fan who was taking pictures from the audience. I can understand why they don't want flash going off during the concert, but I do think it is a bit drastic. I am hopeful that the group will get back to our area again in the near future. Do you know if there is a US tour on their schedule? Grace

Comments: I find it difficult to do justice to this band, these people, and their music. I've followed them since 1967, and I can remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard "Knights in White Satin" for the first time. I could say that their music has consistently brought me in touch with the fundamental transforming force of the universe. I could compare "Days" to its companion piece, Beethoven's "Pastorale." Or I could liken this music to the work of Hayao Miyazaki, master sensei of Japanese animation. But actually, you see, it's a lot simpler than all that. The best way to pay tribute to them is to live each moment of my life with as much love and respect as I can, for all the creatures that I can, in every way that I can. And you know? That's just what I've tried to do, for all these years! Thanks, guys! Charlie Stevenson Overlea, Maryland

Comments: I think what your doing is great. I thank you as up here in northern maine we don't get that much opportunity to learn about our favorites except now with the internet. I just discovered the moody blues two years ago when i caught the red rocks on pbs. I did know the song Knights in white satin but not much else. Since then I have gotten as many of the cassetts as I can and I'm looking for the rest of justin's solo albums. I think some times his songs must have been written with my own feelings. I have had a really hard time getting info on them until now. Your page has helped alot and thanks so much. debbie
