I seen them at the Star Plaza last year on6-21-97 and I understand they will be back there on 6-20-98 this year Maybe You could perswade them to do so. My boyfriend at the time insisted that some of the words to Question were "I'm looking for a miracle in brown eyes" which I have, so it was wonderful! I now know the words are "in my life" not "in brown eyes" but I've been hooked ever since. Believe it or not, my first album was Threshold, not DOFP, and I was hooked by it. Then DOFP and I was blown away. Have every album pressed, every tape, and every CD, including some obscure things, and all of Justin's solo stuff on CD. LOVE THEM. Will be seeing them in Virginia Beach this year. One year I saw them in Richmond, VA, Raleigh, NC, Philadelphia, PA, Atlantic City, NJ: just followed them up the east coast as far as I could go! Had the GREAT priviledge of seeing Justin last summer during his solo tour in both Los Angeles AND Washington, DC. If you get the opportunity to see him solo, do go. It was wonderful. Joyce, thanks so much for the pix. They are great. Keep on sneaking that camera in girl! Thanks for the site. It's great. |

Time: 1998-04-09 02:11:28 Comments: I ran into Justin at the airport after Las I ran into Justin at the airport and asked him about the two missing RINGS and he sais "I wanted to see how many people would notice" That"s all he said and was very amused that so many people had noticed. That"s what he said believe it or not. Looking him in the eyes when he said it I did believe him, but not 100%. If there was any other reason I"m sure he would not share THAT with his fans.Hope this helps those of us who did notice since he has always worn them since the '60's and did have such meaning to him. On my first date with my future wife, all I played on the 8 track was DOFP. 5 years (to the day) from our first date, I proposed with of course DOFP playing. Have albums from "Go Now" through "Seventh Sojourn" and " Blue Jays". "Long Distance Voyager" on cassette, "DOFP"," Voices in the Sky"," Sur la Mer", "Keys to the Kingdom", "This is the Moody Blues", and "Time Traveller" on CD. Have been to 6 concerts in three states. Best one was in Rochester, MN in 1997 with the Rochester Symphony Orchestra, Oustanding! My 13 year old has become a fan also, her favorite song is "The Voice" and she was totally blown away by the Rochester concert (her first) and they opened with "The Voice". I spent 2 hours having MRI scans done yesterday and who did I take to listen to while being scanned? "This is The Moody Blues" double CD, what else? I could go on and on, but it' time to put in a new CD...Let's see who should it be ?.......Not hard to guess, is it? |

It was at this point in my life I felt a spiritual connection to "Moody" music. For 20 years I have listened and for the past 4 Ive watched. Now I am a 34 year old mother of 2, whose 6 year old plays air guitar to "See Saw" and my 5 year old sits and dreams of "Dr. Livingstone.." The music is timeless and the poetry reaches the soul. ST |

I purchased album for the long running version of "Tuesday Afternoon". I was a sophmore at Pilgrim High in Warwick RI. I listened to the rest of the album but was too stupid to realize how good it was. I became a Moody Blues freak when I heard "Gypsy" on and underground FM radio station in RI- WBRU at Brown University in the spring of 1969. I was a Senior in High School then. The station played a couple of more selections from the TOCCC album that were also great so I went out an purchased it and listened to it over and over again until it was wearing out and purchaed another to replace it. (I have re-purchased TOCCC 12 inch vinyls 5 times and now own the CD of course). After that I purchased ISOTLC and OTTOAD. I saw them in Concert many times in Boston and continued to collect all the Moodies albums up to OCTAVE and then stopped dead. I lost track of the Moodies until last year (1997) when I introduced my wife to Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues (we have been married for 24 years now-why I waited and she caught fire, I'll never know- yes I do -- I threw Justin at her to keep her mind off Peter Gabriel of whom she went nuts on when she finally listened to him) This is when I purchased all of the Moodies and Justin' s albums on CD's that I had albums for and then my wife found the CD's after OCTAVE. So we both went crazy listening to the old/new material. LDV, SLM, KOTK, and all of Justin Hayward's albums. I had a Moody Blues re-birth and my wife had Moody Blues awakening. We are now traveling down eternity road together and patiently waiting for the next new release by the Moodies and Justin. |
