I had the chance also the see Justin 2yrs ago when he was promoting "View" and got him to sign my copy of Time Traveller. He was so great the here in person and I think that everyone at Borders throughly enjoyed themselves I wish I had some of the pics form Borders to share with you and all the other fans. Joe Durham Website: Referred by: WebCrawler search From: Fair Haven, Vt Time: 1998-06-04 22:34:56 Comments: "Discovered" Moodies by accident in 1974 listening to an unlabeled tape left in a car I bought. A friend heard it and told me who they were. It was "Days..." Since then, all is history. I am 37. Collected albums, solo works, etc. since. Their sound is forever and only theirs. Headphone listening is a pre-requisite! I do miss Mike's music, hope he's well and not feeling alone, many of our thoughts are with him. I am self-taught on keyboards, as well as an elec contractor. I've learned most of their songs by ear. Favourite album? All group works. Favourite song? Unfair question. I am looking for older fan club pics with Mike and some out-of-print works and Teldec (German) albums. Was once a club member back in the early 80's. My wife treated me to a surprise concert at Saratoga in 1995. I thought she was taking me to see Chicago. Since I'd never been to a big-name concert before, I said OK, only half- wanting to see them. It was like a dream. I couldn't wait for Chicago to get off stage. I was very surprised to see a huge number of teenagers there. There were three generations of listeners in the audience. I don't know of any other active groups that have such a wide-spread following. Having recently purchased Time Traveler, unreleased and/or obscure singles intrigue me such as Mike's Love and Beauty, which was way ahead of its time as were many of his writings. Justin's are personal and emotional, many of Mike's were full of wonder and introspect. John's can go both ways. No band at the time sang that stuff. No other group touches on the little questions each of us has deep inside, which we wonder about but ignore. It wouldn't be fair to not comment about Graeme's intricate poetry & wit, and Ray's kalaedescope of talents and styles. Patrick I'm not familiar with, just that he does a fine job with the board and caught on fast to the style and to pre-80's songs. The only group that I feel ever came close to the Moodies' content was Badfinger. Pete Hamm's deepest writings were like Justin's. This is a borrowed home page, I am only reachable through snail-mail. Lovely to see you here. |

When I listen to music, I listen for an overall sound quality and there is none better than the "Moody Blues sound", no matter who is singing lead vocals. I am a figure skater and have used two pieces of music by them for my programs. I plan on using more as my ability gets more technically adept. If I have to listen to this music daily and emote to the music, it's got to be something I can listen to over and over again. |

I hear one note and KNOW it's the Moodies, which keeps me close to my Jerry. I have met tons and tons of people through concerts and people who stop me because of my license plates (MDY BLU). The Moodies music has added so much to my life. God bless the Moodies and their followers. Peace from a 30 year old widow.... My favorite song, you ask?? For My Lady |

However in recent years I fell on financial hardship and let my membership drop. I wish to renew at this time and discovered your website which I have enjoyed viewing. I would also like to mention that some songs come and go others just go "boom, boom, boom" and make absolutely no sense at all but, the Moody Blues songs are eternal. I will be listening to and I also playing most of them, until I can no longer hear the music nor use my fingers to play. Again, thank you for this website; I will check in from time to time. Time to time, sounds like a good name for an Album or maybe even a song, doesn't it? Very truly yours, Cameron McCreary |

In those days, I could not wait until the next Moody Blue's Album became available. I have most of them on vinyl and a few now on CD. This group was a major influence on my life during the 1960's and beyond. But the year 1969 hangs most in my mind as I was going through quite an uncomfortable emotional experience: having to give up my own child due to extreme pressure from my parents. This, of course led to my "tune out and drop in" mood and with a little stimulus of cannibus, they stuck in my mind like nothing ever has. I was a musician, and their music just completely blew me away with it's complexity and near perfect harmonies. And of course, there's Justin Hayward. God, I admire him...he seems to be "perfect", the kind of guy that every man would want to be. Beautiful hair, good looks, incredible talent, and a voice from Heaven. I wonder if he knows just how lucky he really is. I wonder if the entire group has any idea of the impact they made on the "Flower Children" of the 1960's and early 1970's. What can I say except these guys will always be my favorite group of all time. And their concert at Red Rock was incredible. They played each piece almost note for note. Kudos. I just wish that I could get an autographed photo of the whole group and also of Justin Hayward by himself. That would be a dream come true. What a fantastic group they were and continue to be, always playing with the mind and asking questions that have no answers. God bless the Moody Blues for being a part of my life and for making the lives of millions of others just a little bit more special and more pleasant and mind boggling. Great.....that's all I can say to sum up my critique.....Great. The best. Leighton A. Cammuse B5410@aol.com |

No other band can quite compare to them. To me, they were spritual! Even though they insist they were "Just singers in a Rock and Roll Band", they kept those of us with gentle souls hopeful for a time with peace and Love....If only the leaders of the Nations of the Earth could hear " The Voice"..... |
