From the scratchy 45rpm's to the cassettes and CD's of now, the music has always been close by, and wrapped within the songs are memories of people, events, stages of my life, some cherished, some, perhaps, not so cherished, but all very meaningful. Play a Moodies song and a personal mental video unfolds, with a warm glow from both the quality of the music and the accompanying reflections on the times in my life that paticular song/album was seemingly glued to my turntable or airing every twenty minutes on the radio. There are many bands and artists I have enjoyed over the years, none have consistently held the status the Moody Blues have...none can consistently take it to that next level where the songs are a vital part of the tapestry of life experiences that are close to my heart.
