They've been one of my favorite bands since 1965 (I refuse to try to rank order my favorites, but the Moodies are *way, way* up there... I've seen them in concert 7 times, starting in San Diego in 1969 (with several other Navy buddies), and most recently in Minneapolis in 1996 (with my daughter and my mother). It's great to see so many sites and so many fans of this extremely creative and talented group. They are truly a band for the ages--I've no doubt that our "children's children's children" will be listening to their music. Keep up the good work!!!! |

We went to see the Moody Blues perform while they were touring in Northern VA, at the Nissan Pavillion, appromimately 7 miles from my home. First saw them at the Hollywood Sportatorium outside Miami in 1970. (looked like a place where they wrestled aligators). There were so many people trying to get in (Counterfit tickets) they had to tear down the rear wall of the building (it was made of tin anyway), and they put speakers to the rear so that every one could hear. Have seen them countless times since. Last saw them at Wolf Trap Park in 92 or 93. I Now live in Bogotį Colombia, so have missed the last serveral tours. Have to agree with some of the other guests... Justin seems bored and has little contact with the crowd now. As a major contributor to Wolf Trap I have always been close enough to catch the sweat, and have met the group on one occasion, and Justin had little interest in meeting anyone. But damn, can the man play a guitar and sing a song or what?!? Thanx for a great site Joyce... And Moodies, thanx for three decades of wonderful music, memories and thoughtful lyrical reflections through the years... Hey Ray, for the record I want my leg back. All I wanted was for you to autograph the damn thing! Did you make a wooden flute out of it? (Any of you Moody fans get the urge to say hey, please feel free to email me.... IF YOU KNO WHN THEIR COMING TO CT AGAIN PLEASE EMAIL ME. OH BY THE WAY WEBTV ISN'T ALL THAT BAD. THERE ARE EVEN SOME THINGS THAT I CAN DO WITH THIS THAT YOU PC DUDES CAN DO. Time: 1998-09-21 04:32:18 Comments: My brother was a big fan of the moody's since the 70's, they were his all time favorite band. He passed away Sept. 22, 1997, I can't believe a year has gone by. I listen to their music all the time now, It helps me to feel closer to Mike and to fill that void. Their music is so beautiful, My brother had so much music of all different artist, Music was his passion. He died peacefully listening to his music. We were not suprised to find that it was the Moody Blues. (This is the Moody Blues) Someday I would love to see them in concert the way Mike did, It would be too heartwrenching right now, but when I finally do I know Mike will be right there with me. We love and miss you Mike, Barbara |

When they played a gig here in the mid 80s it is the only time I ever experienced the ambience of an open air festival in a roofed auditorium.
