I've seen them in concert about eight times in Chicago and Phoenix. I wish they'd come to the Tucson area. I'd get tickets in a heartbeat. Since then I have collected every CD, video and cassette that I could get my hands on and attended a great concert in Vancouver. Their music was great in the sixties and seventies but at 46 years of age now, it has so much more meaning and depth to me and from what I have read on this site, a whole lot of people feel the same way. It is absolutely staggering how the Moody Blues music can instantly put me into a great mood or make doing some of the most mundane things in life (paperwork) actually bearable. I am not going to question why or how, I'm just going to enjoy it and accept that I am a reconnected Moody Blues addict and hope that no one ever finds a cure for this disease. Thank you so much for making such a difference in my life - John, Justin, Graeme and John. Especially thanks to Joyce for creating this wonderful site. |

In 94 I took my (then) 5 year old to his first Moodies conert. In 89 I was on a business trip in Wichita at the time by myself and suddenly decided to drive up. I got to the gate when the first band was playing, not sure I can remember who that was. The fellow at the gate says just 1? the MoodY magic began. He said- it is your lucky day and sold me a SINGLE front row seat seat!!!!!!!! UNBELEIVEABLE. Sat in front of Ray. Needless to say, some very fond memories of Sandstone. Lovely to see you, George |

Sat. Jun 28, 97 I have attended several other Moodies concerts there over the years. (Going to dig some more up.) My memory of this show was the looming thunderstorms and the wind really picking up at the climax of "I Know your out there Somewhere." I had freinds that sat on the 2nd row and paid dearly for the tics. GREAT SHOW, of course all moody shows are!, arn't they? |

Your song 'Lean On Me' (Tonight) is one of my favorites! It reminds me of a close friend of mine who was and is still very dear to me. Sadly he's passed on, and I never did get the chance to let him hear that song. The song brings me to tears everytime, I hear it. I'm 39 years old and have been a fan of the Moodies since the first time I heard "Nights in White Satin" on the radio during the early seventies. I finally realised my dream of going to a Moodies concert when I saw both their performances at Caesar's on March 20th. I almost pinched myself a few times because I couldn't believe I was watching them perform so many of my favorite tunes live onstage. I'm embarrassed to say that for the longest time I was not aware the Moodies were still together (albeit minus Michael Pinder) and giving concerts. When I found out several years ago, I thought I would never get a chance to see them before they retired (I'm sure you can all understand why!). I'm so glad, for all our sakes, that John Lodge and the rest of the guys still feel they "can still play and sing." (I was thrilled to see that John checks up on this site every once in a while!) I am so grateful they have continued to perform live. I don't care what Grace Slick or anyone else may think about performing "the same old songs." Obviously, Justin, John, Ray and Graeme feel the same way, and God bless them for that!! The Moodies and their music are unique, and I'm glad they're continuing to go their own way. So much of their music is so beautiful and timeless. I'll never forget listening to "Tuesday Afternoon" and "Nights in White Satin" live for the first time at Caesar's. Please keep it up guys! You're the best. My wife, who did not want to go with me to Atlantic City for the concert, is now a new fan. Watching the guys onstage was such a thrill, and the memory will remain with me for a long time. I can't wait for their new CD, and hope I get to see them again soon. I'm so happy to see that my love and appreciation of the music of the Moodies is shared by so many others. Great site Joyce, THANK YOU!!! |
