I attended the Strange Times 2000 concert in Cleveland Hts last night; it was high-enegry Moodies @ their best! Their US 2000 tour venues are smaller than usual which makes having even the farthest away seats not all that bad. I played the Moody Blues albums often in their entirey on a collegiate radio station in the early-mid 70's. I have never heard of anyone else doing so and played them profusely @ an alumni weekend as a guest DJ. I wish that their tour schedule this year covered more cities, but they most certainly must all have a myriad of important responsibilities, both personal & professional. There was a small group of fortunates who were able to go back-stage to meet the group. I should have asked them if they were interviewers, lucky fans who won local promo'd contests, or whatever. I would one day very much enjoy meeting them. I am a full time professional retail merchandiser, recording artist and acoustics consultant. I was instrumental in beta testing an unprecedented audio post production, vitual reality-like, as yet unveiled, recording process. Justin Hayward evaluates the technology for his group; he is aware of our reasearch which will usher in a new dynamic to any musical listening experience. Keep up the great work! -Paul- |

Perhaps I need to row the "Pond" and stay in your land for a while. Spotted a picture of yourself on another site, in the presence of THE band. How about a signed autograph. The closest I,ve ever got was at Brighton this year, when my 10 year was given a drum stick by GE. Only her second visit too, mind you she is better looking than me, her Dad. Thanks for this opportunity to communicate with a real die-hard fan, I,m the only one around where live. Look forward to hearing from you Carey |

I'm new to the web and it's great to be able to participate as a fan this way. I have only seen the band twice in my @30 yrs as a fan. The last time was in 1996 in Minneapolis, and it was a rather strange time itself. JH came out to our section and glared at someone for a while in the seats above. Didn't really know what was up, but the show was great fun - they are such wonderful artists and great performers and for all that, I was in a pretty strange mood me self - my violin professor was on stage with them, in the orchestra! I just wish I could have seen them this time around (1999), but no one to go with and it's usually too far, blah blah. (I know, they travel all that way - but it's not the same, they're a caravan.) I remember thinking at the concert in Minny how nice it would be to see them play out of doors, near trees and water, somewhere beautiful, and now they are doing a summer 2000 tour! Alas, it doesn't look like I'll make that either - wonder how much longer they'll be willing to tour for us?? I would REALLY love to play violin (I play violin) in the festival orchestra along with them, but I don't seem to be be in the swing of it lately, also be fun to be in the audie tho' - and I sure am glad I got to see them when I did, won't forget it. Well, it's been nice readin' everybody... Hey, Joyce! Thanks - love the monarch butterflies on your page(s), we have them here already, in May!!? "Let's be God's children, and live in perfect peace..." - with clean drinking water from healthy aquifers - let it be so! P.S. - please vote yes for my Moodies reviews at Amazon.com - I'm salymander. |

Have followed the band in its present form since the late sixties, but prior to "Days". Saw them at a Uni somewhere in London, singing songs I cannot remember, although they did do an Animals one, as well as one about flowers. Didn't they all at that time. Saw them most recently at Brighton on The Strange Tour with both my daughtersm - a second time for the eldest. They are her favourite band, (but not advertised at school, after all she wants to keep her school cred!!!) Songs sounded much better live than CD. Nuff for now, lets read the rest of the site. |

I just had to make an entry to say once again that "Strange Times" is a brilliant album. The opening bars of "English Sunset" with the lead guitar coming in sets you off completely on a "runaway train" of pure magic. Glad you enjoyed the show and I'm envious you were able to meet and talk with 3 of the 4 guys, get a photo, and get the CD covers signed. The reason I am responding so soon is that I received an e-mail from Joyce of this web site and she indicated that she never responded to your request for info regarding what she felt this site was all about because you never put your e-mail address on the site whenever you signed the guest book. She said she normally doesn't respond on the guest book because then it would just be full of her responses to numerous inquires that she receives. She wants the guest book to be a sounding board for all the Moodies' fans, and if they would like to so call "chat" via it, that's fine. If you click on my name above, my e-mail address is there so you can e-mail me directly. I'm sure that if you e-mail Joyce, she would be more than happy to respond and tell you more of her visions of the site. In any event, again, Keep the Faith!!!!! I am glad you enjoyed the show. One last thing, did they have the symphony with them at the show? Regards, Keane |

Time: 2000-04-22 17:58:24 Comments: Keane, I had kind of taken a break from this site, which was not helped by a change in the internet server making it hard to find. After such a timespace, your message gave me such a lift and "faith" in this site. What can I say about Glasgow. The hairs on the back of my neck were going when the band walked on to start with "The Voice", then "Tuesday Afternoon", After that we were blown away by "English Sunset" and "Haunted". John gave us "Words You Say" which was quite emotional. One of the highlights was "For My Lady" which for me is the epitomy of "that sound". The band gave us all the GREATS and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. After the show I waited and spoke to Justin, John and Ray (Graeme had to leave to go to London.) Got CD covers signed. They are the most down to earth, genuine, nice people you could hope to meet. Even had my photograph taken with Justin and John. Justin said he would want to come back to Glasgow so who knows. Looking forward to the video from The Royal Albert Hall. Keep in touch Keane. My address is 52 The Cleaves, Tullibody. Clackmannanshire, Scotland. FK10 2XD. I have what I believe is THE ultimate way to promote it, and have some unique ideas for production. My big dream is to see them live in concert someday. I recently purchased their CD "Strange Times", and it is just as 'perfect' as I remember them. I can relate to much of their music, because I fell in love with a girl because of their music. Words are not enough to describe my feelings for them. If you have a fan club, then I'd be interested in joining. It sounds like you love their music as much as I do. Thanks. |

All I can say is I don't if you remember you and I had met this past year in November in NYC, after the Beacon theatre concert. We had talked and we even spoke about some personal issues that I can't discuss here. I need you to be contact me John through email and then possibly by phone. Please understand I don't mean this in a bad or threatening way. It's just something I direly need your help and advice on. I want you to know what a difference you've made to me that particular night and the time you took not only, as a celebrity but as a real human being to talk and be a friend. We certainly connected John. Well like I said, it's not a good idea to get too intense here because people sometimes tend to judge and all. Maybe I sholdn't be asking you this John and if it's not right I'm truly sorry. I look to you, as a very good friend and nothing more and that's a promise from my heart. It's not about sex it's more of a spiritual thing. You and Justin seem to have that inside of yourselves. Well this is the chance I've gotta take and hopefully if it's right I'll hear back from you. don't know if you've received it yet, but I did send you a package right before the tour in February started. Just wondering that's all.....well if can do please just click on my name and send me an email and we'll talk okay...Thanks John and hope you're well. Please pass along to Justin my deepest sympathys on the loss of his mum. He is certainly in my heart, thoughts and prayers. God bless the both of you. ~Very Sincerely Yours...A Friend~ |

Was ripped off by local radio station when I won tickets to my lifetime dream--to see the Moody Blues in concert here. Is there anyone out there who was at DAR Constituion Hall here in DC on Feb. 18 2000? The station says my obscured seats were worth $40 (which we had to buy because the tickets were never sent) and that the max price even on the floor was $40, which is what we paid per seat. I couldn't even see the band. All I saw was speakers and the backs of the two back-up singers. We could hardly hear or see anything. Can someone tell me where in the hall they were and what they paid for the tickets? Please email me at rmhallman@yahoo.com. Please Please help. I was on the threshold of a dream and couldn't get in. |

Why don't you e-mail Joyce at jcravens@sound.net to find out what she thinks the page is supposed to be. I'm under the impression that it was designed for fans to voice their opinions and get responses. Perhaps I'm wrong. There's one way to find out, if she will respond. In any event, I hope you enjoy(ed) the show in Glasgow, which at the time I write this, was already performed. Keep the faith. Keane Moody |

Other than that they are as good as ever and the new album is great |

If it is for fans purely to say how they feel about the band, or a concert, then thats fine. But please let me know, because in the words of Justin, "I will return no more" to this web site if people do not acknowledge the comments of other contributers. |

It never ceases to amaze me to discover what this band means to so many people. In the modern age, it is easy to get a bit down and isolated musically, but all these messages of love and shared respect for the guys and what they have stood for raise my spirits again. A very special band, for very special fans. That's us...! I will be back.xxxx |

I'm sure it did not detract from the occasion. Here's hoping all goes well with us in Glasgow on 18 April. Advice for those fans looking for autographs on albums etc. I had no difficulty in 1996 when Justin and John walked down Buchanan Street, Glasgow after the concert to go to their bus. They joined in conversation and signed programmes. Real genuine guys. Try hanging around stage doors and you never know what good fortune may come your way. Take care. Ian. |
