Welcome Moms!

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. We are a network of women dedicated to the message that “mothering matters.” MOPS celebrates motherhood and helps moms to be better moms through trusted resources and supportive relationships. Because mothers of young children need support and encouragement, MOPS is designed to nurture expectant mothers and mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS recognizes that the years frominfancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. We women are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire — to be the best mothers we can be.
MOPS meetings focus on moms. It’s a time for you, a time to relax and unwind with others going through the same journey in life: motherhood. Always provided is a warm and supportive environment where moms are nurtured socially and spiritually.
We meet from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month, September through May.
We meet at Indian River Presbyterian Church in Fort Pierce.

Our theme this year is...

When you become a mom, all your relationships change. It’s like you have landed on a different planet—Planet Mom—and the relationships on Planet Mom don’t look like the ones on your previous planet. Your relationship with yourself is different—you are a mom! Your relationship with your husband, girlfriends, extended family, community and God have all changed. Many of these changes are positive, some are not. Even positive change requires adjustments on your part.
During the 2009-10 MOPS year, we will explore how to thrive in relationships Together on Planet Mom.
