Matting & Mounting

Add this option to have your print cold mounted on Crescent Perfect Mount double-thick mounting board and matted. We mount and mat to the following frame sizes:

• 8" x 12" prints are mounted & matted to 16" x 20"
• 12" x 18" prints are mounted & matted to 20" x 24"

• Single mat, Crescent Arctic White with Blackcore

Which mat color is best?

• We use Arctic White with Blackcore for most of our framed images. The Arctic White with Blackcore, when mounted in a black frame, displays your print in a classic "gallery" presentation. This presentation works well with neutral wall colors.
• For a more stunning presentation with high-key black & white images and some color images with very dark foregrounds, consider the Raven Black with Whitecore mat for your images. Raven Black mats work well with the following images:Tree in Winter Snow, Snow on Steps, The Watcher, Monument Valley, and Hatteras Island #3. Other images for consideration would include Climax Locomotive, Rocky Knob Tree, Rocky Knob Sunrise, Sunsrise Oregon Inlet, Sea Oats, and any of the other black & white images. We recommend a black frame for a simple, but classic, presentation of your photograph.

If you have brightly colored walls, want to coordinate with other colors, or plan to use a frame size different from above, or have other special requirements, we suggest you purchase your print unmounted and unmatted, and have your print professionally mounted and matted so that you can choose from a larger variety of mats and frame styles and colors. NOTE: 5" x 7" Prints Are Already Matted & Mounted. Do Not Select This Option for 5" x 7" prints

To preserve your print, it should only be displayed in a frame, behind glass. Use archival mounting boards and mats. For framed prints, call or e-mail for a quote.

We guarantee our prints. We will replace any print that fades or color shifts.
