FEATURE FILM "FUNNY VALENTINE"
ANNOUNCES INTERNATIONAL PREMIERE
AT ISRAELI FILM FESTIVAL

NY - Souvenir Pictures announced today that
the feature film "Funny Valentine", a new
romantic comedy starring Anthony Michael
Hall, has been selected for screening at the
2005 Ashdod Film Festival in Israel.
Held
during the Jewish high holiday of Passover,
the five-day festival hosts a multitude of
indoor and outdoor screenings, street
bazaars, panels and discussions by
filmmakers and academy members and features
an international juried competition,
awarding best film, director, actor and
actress and photographer.
Funny
Valentine made its American debut at the
Sarasota Film Festival in February 2005,
playing to sold-out crowds and commanding
rave reviews from audience and press alike.
Viewers young and old found the film "sweet,
fun and uplifting", and ABC Television
called Funny Valentine "a funny, funny
film," praising Michael Hall and Marlo
Marron's performance.
The film,
a fun and uplifting tale about staying true
to yourself and your dreams, is the
directorial film debut of Jeff Oppenheim.
The film was edited by industry veteran
Robert Reitano ("Sleepless in Seattle", "The
Bachelor"); executive produced by Lloyd
Chrein and Griffin VanMeter and produced by
Leo Leichter, Lloyd Chrein, D. Brewse Monier-Williams,
Tamara Trexler, Wesley H. Motley III, and
Anthony Michael Hall.
Writer/director Jeff Oppenheim stated, "We
are thrilled and honored to be making our
international debut at this inaugural
festival." The beautiful Mediterranean
coastline of Ashdod makes for a truly
romantic setting for this premiere of "Funny
Valentine".
