Scholarship as Dialogue
Scholarly dialogue takes place in the form of conferences, academic publications, courses and seminars that focus on the human condition and the world as we can know it. Scholarship on the disparity between Eastern and Western thinking can be useful in reducing cultural bias and the gap in understanding. Finding ways to deal with cultural disparity is important for individuals, communities, nations and their leaders and governments. It is useful in promoting international business and can play a major role in sustainable development and world peace. The Asian Scholar Fund participates in the scholarly dialogue concerning cross-cultural issues.
