A Walk Through Salem and the
City of Salem welcomes you to the Witch House to stroll
about a theme event centered around romance with a little
bit of lust. Calling all young ladies to partake in
wine and pastries from the Coven cafe. Be enticed into
lust or love as you view seduction displayed through
the canvases of local artists. Then be captivated as
actors reenact famous lovers from Salem's past reading
steamy love letters to one another. Be wooed, be satiated,
and find release next Saturday! Just a little bit of
lust to last you 2 hours. Now when was the last time
that happened?
Plus new art work from the upcoming
book, A Walk Under Salem will be on view. The fairy
Tale for the young at heart that explores the underground
tunnels in Salem!!!!
January and Poetic Styling
7th PAM opening at Coven

This month we will have Walnut the
Lyrical Genie perform some poetry and do some spoken
word rap for us. From 5-9 we will be inviting you to
join us in Salem at the Coven Cafe on Essex Street on
January 21st. At 8 Walnut will be entertaining us for
an hour. Come hear some cool grooves and styling array
of words massage your mind. Over 30 new artworks will
be available for sale. Invest in your future by some
art!
December and More Ghosts
2nd Annual Krampus Show at the Fool's Mansion featuring
Illustrator Chris Dowgin ( A Walk Through Salem)
December 4th
Come
join the merry in this celebration of Saint Nick's evil
sidekick on Krampus Eve! Over 15 local artist will be
displaying their interpretations of this Northern European
mythological figure. Polonia will be catering the event
with wine from Pamplemousse. The opening runs from 8pm
till 3 am. These works will be up through the new year.
The Fools Mansion is on Essex Street next to Crow Haven
Corner adjacent to the Hawthorne Hotel. Their hours
are 11 till 7 Wednesday through Sunday.

"5th" Annual Salem Open Studios Tour

Featuring Illustrator Chris Dowgin (A Walk Through
Salem)
Chris Dowgin will be displaying work in the
Purple Room in the East India Mall and at the Witch
House on Essex Street. Come see his original art work
from his book A Walk Through Salem along with illustrations
from his new book A Walk Under Salem about the underground
tunnels in town. Also he will be selling and signing
books throughout the day while he is working on new
illustrations. Bring paper and pencil and come join
him and create your own art after you tour this historic
1600 house. Also stop in and ask him how you can become
published by Salem' newest publishing company, Salem
House Press.

Club is presenting Brunonia Barry the New York Times
Best Seller Author of The Lace Reader will be doing
a reading and Book Signing for her new book Map of True
Places. Along with her we will have various Victorian
actors telling English Ghost Stories. Also we will have
local authors from Salem Ghost Writers tell us a tale
or two as well. So come once again on Saturday December
18th and see the latest art work from local Salem Artist
at the Coven Cafe. Each month over 30 local artist display
new works for sale. So come on down and make an investment
in your future and support the local arts.

magician Tyler!

club at Coven Cafe will be holding their fifth opening
from 5-9. Tyler local legend will be performing some
amazing feats. His magic show will start at 8 and run
till 9. Tyler's magic shows were sell outs throughout
town last month at the Gathering and Finz Restaurant.
Come see this special free presentation exclusive to
our opening this month. In the following months we will
have Brunonia Barry read from her new book A Map of
True Places. Then in March we will be hanging our paintings
at Cinema Salem during the Salem Film Festival.

of A Walk Through Salem, will be doing live drawing
expos and book signings. So bring down your art supplies
and draw along with him as he works on his latest book,

he will be leading historic and somewhat fantastical
tours through the downtown area which will allow you
to become part of the book and see the illustrations

PAM~ Fourth Opening and Halloween Show
Friday Oct 22nd from 5-9
The
Painting a Month Club will be hosting its 4th opening.
Along with the usual meeting of over 25 different local
artists hanging about and eating the great food and
drinking allot of Coven Cafe's fine beer and wine, we
will also be welcoming actors from the Witch Houses
Eerie Events. Actors dressed in 18th Century garb will
be performing ghost stories. Later that night we welcome
you to see the rest of the tales at the Witch House.
Art work this month for sale will feature art well with
a, haunting theme....
Fool's Mansion Horror Show

Chris Dowgin will be showcasing
three pieces this year in The Fool's Mansion 3rd year.
Come by to the opening on Oct 2nd and partake in some
merriment and devilry while enjoying some wine and fine
foods.
Terror and Fantasy Show
The month of October on Pickering
Wharf in Salem
Along with 25 different artist, Chris
Dowgin (illustrator of A Walk Through Salem) will be
showcasing his fine art along with doing
live drawing expos throughout the month. October 9th
from 12-8 and Oct 24 from 10-8 he will be available
to sell you some books and give you a free doodle and
signature. Terror and Fantasy is in its 20th year in
Salem and is founded by Wendy Snow and Chuck Lang. Chris
has three paintings exhibited this year from his other
body of work.

walk Through Salem will be hanging a show in Old Town Hall displaying
the process of creating an illustration. From research photography,
photomontages, to final drawings will be on display to show you how the
process develops.

we will be doing a two day book signing and giving walking tours
following the illustrations of the book on Saturday and Sunday at
Cornerstone Books.

Ghost Hunting Event Thursday the 22nd from 7 to 9!
Join us for a tour of the supernatural
and the world of the fabulous as A Walk Through Salem
and Salem Night Tours team up for this wonderfully creepy
event. Chris Dowgin, author and illustrator, will be
signing limited first edition copies of his book before
and after you tour the haunts of the city with Tim Maguire.
After this 1 hr tour, come back to the Remember Salem
shop at 127 Wessex Street and do some ghost hunting using the latest electronic
devices. We will be visiting a little girl and
her older brother who died in the basement (that was
once connected to the secret tunnels in town) during
the Great Salem Fire in 1914.
