Time & Place

Yorkarvers have two meetings, both are held at the 4th United Methodist Church hall in York.

1)  For the regular Sunday meeting the doors open at 1:30 and the meeting is from 2:00 to 4:00 on the 2nd Sunday of the month except on Mother's Day - check the newsletter for dates. A typical meeting consists of a Show and Tell, refreshments and a program such as a talk, demonstration, bring your own carving and carve away, or an instructor leading us in a carving of his choice with a supplied blank.

2) The Monday night workshop from 6:00 - 8:30pm is a bring your own carving and tools and carve along with fellow carvers.  Instruction, carving and fun without any structured meeting or agenda. An added plus is the available sharpening equipment. This is a time for fellowship and lots of fun and is the best time to learn how to carve and save your fingers.
