Mr. and Mrs. Monti
I thought it would be helpful to introduce myself to new students, parents, guardians, and any other interested visitors.
I was born in Italy and lived there until I was five years old. At that time my family moved to Haddon Township, New Jersey, which is where I grew up. I still speak Italian fluently and enjoy my mother's homemade Italian cooking.
I graduated from Haddon Township High School, and I married my high school sweetheart while I was in college. We bought a home and moved to Gloucester Township, New Jersey. Later, I graduated from Rowan University with a teaching degree and a Reading Specialist Certification. I was very excited to get started in my new career as a teacher.
While I was in college I substituted for the Gloucester Township School District, and when I graduated I received a job offer from Medford. I started as a pregnancy replacement in fifth grade. When that teacher returned, the following year, I was rehired for third grade. I taught third grade for two years, and then returned to fifth grade. This is my fourth year teaching in Medford and I LOVE IT!!!! Chairville is an outstanding school and a fantastic place to work.
As of 9/20/05, I have two daughters

Our pets include; a cat named Data, two fish tanks (one 100 gallon salt water tank and one 30 gallon fresh water tank), and a koi pond in the back yard.

My favorite subjects to teach are science, math, writing, and reading. I love the days when I see a student's eyes light up because he or she "gets it". Teaching is so rewarding, and I encourage parent involvement because they are their child's best lifelong teachers. To learn more about my teaching style Read my philosophy of Teaching Statement.
My hobbies include reading, designing this website, snorkeling, swimming, and collecting Star Trek memorabilia. I am a fan of all the Star Trek shows and enjoy watching the movies. Also, I enjoy playing video games. I own a Genesis, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance SP, Playstation, and Playstation 2.
