I started on a new DM level a few weeks ago and decided it's about time for a new Megasphere project. Yes that's right Mega5!

Mega 5 is the, you guessed it, 5th Megasphere mega wad compilation to date, well when it's done. Not only will it have some megasphere classic updates, this compilation will have some of the most outstanding old skewl style levels ever seen and hold true to some of the most die-hard Doom2 DM fans ever conceived! Mega5 is planned to be a 30-32 level Death-match Mega wad.

Stay tuned for more on that with-in the next few months.

Was wondering whats going on with DoomLegacy 2.0 lately and against my will I realized, not much. Actually The Doom Legacy web site hasn't been updated for a long time, but never the less things have been updated behind closed curtains over on the SVN ~ development stands at floating points and the Ravan GPL has been updated and now marked to be a prudent part of the build, yes legal as much as Doom, which is a good thing.

Hopefully soon things will pick up in the Doom Legacy Dev center side of things because there's tons of users in the Doom Community that have been waiting a long, long while for a Doom Legacy 2 beta.

Around this time last year I was working on and or testing some PNG graphic imagery to test with L2. For the most part a lot of things worked in Opengl with these semi-transparent PNG add-ons.

I'll have a server runnin for a few days, It's

<( The * Megasphere )> ST97D3-RC1 DooM II Deathmatch Server. Currently running Doom2 and Mega4.wad, DM 3, Skill 4, Fraglimit 20, 28 level rotation. Yeah you guessed it, I'm gonna be running O'Skool maps..=)

So grab the latest Skulltag and fireup IDE and get ta fragg'n !

Tis the season !
Few years ago I made a DM map called mrwwdm ~ Mr.Winter Wonderland DM
The map is Christmas theme based in a snowy canyon with some caves and teleports on each side.It's a really bright and not any type of advanced editing or anything..but consistent enough.Turns out it plays pretty well though :P. Anyway, not only does the map spread some holiday cheer as is, it's also fun to play a long side with Tormentor667's X-mas DM

So wattah ya waiting for?! Host some Christmas spirit on your favorite Doom2 DM server this year or something.

Ghouls vs. Humans
If you havn't heard? there's a mod for Skulltag called GHV created by CutmanMike.
Recently CutmanMike over at cuttstuff.net ask me if he could add my MegadethDM map to GHV2 as one of the maps in the mod.
After playing the mod I decided yes it would be a fun map for the mod, so sure why not. :)
Later when the beta2 of GHV was released, I let him know I'd fix up another map for the next version.
Well the GVH beta3 version has been released and as promised GVH09 ~ Castle Ghoulenstein is that map.
Since then I'v updated the map a bit and should be in the next map pack for the mod also.
This map can also be played as a large Team DM arena with Skulltags Buckshot mod by it's self if wanted.

It's been awhile since I'v updated my site so I figured what the heck. I'v been getting lazy with the site so I think I'll just consolidate everything to 1 page and see how it turns out.

I'v also started to re-darw the Doom Face as a hi-res version for the various Doom source engines out there. If you haven't guessed, the Doom face I'm talking about here it the HUD graphic for Doom. So far, all the frames are looking pretty good, Well most of them anyway. there's about 12 to go, and I'm trying to stay loyal to the originals. I'll have an update "right here" when I feel it's ready to release, the download link will be active.

This version is currently only for the Doomsday source engine.

New DM map released ! I called it Megadeth because I was listening to the band "Megadeth" almost the whole time I was creating it. ;)
It's a medium size map, sort of a arena/castle type of layout, and (very red in color).
Should be fun for 2 but large enough for up to 8 players..

"So whatta waiting for? Host it up and have fun!"

I plan on mirroring this map sometime also for CTF. ;)

Another New DM level, called it, Crypt of Madness.
This one has a symmetrical layout something like the Paradox dm map I made a few years back and turned it into a CTF map.
Crypt of Madness has the same potential for CTF as well so I'll probably do that later on. As is though It's setup to be a fast paced DM suited for 2-4 players but roomy enough for more.

That's right, I finally got around to releasing a new DM level for DooM2, decided to call it "O' Skual" because of the way it flows and the way it looks, it just works, so the name stuck. :P
A small 2 player DM layout is what I was focusing on in this map, it's flow basically molded the map once I started on the outside area with the little cliffs and stuff. Once I had things in place, I played a bot match with 4 including me. Before I knew it, it was a 200+ frag game :-)
I'v sent it to my brother for playtest, and it does need play-tested more. so if you have some feedback, let me know. Plz.
Oh btw, this map should play fine on any sourceport, that at least supports an extended vis-plane, even though it's not an overly detailed map.. ;).

If you haven't noticed,software, head leaders of game engine technology to date, has unleashed yet another mind boggling masterpiece, or said to be the 5th big technological stepping stone thus far in terms of id software's newest technological achievement in.. uhh in game engine world domination.. :P

"id Tech5" is the new big thing people!

Woah! just a second.. That doesn't mean we'l need a six cylinder-Core 3 CPU to run it, does it?!? well.. does it?
This thing looks like a freak'n movie!
Anyways, the name of this amazing looking game is RAGE, and is both 3d shooter and race game.
I'll post up more about it I'm sure. - there's also some vid's of the editor in the making.
Very cool stuff, can't wait to check it out!

There's also some beta testing news about ETQW - Enemy Territory QUAKE WARS. so if you have a burning need and a Fileplanet bank account going on, your set. - Man I can't wait for this game to come out!..

I should also mention that there's a new Quake 4 point release out, so head onover to id software.and do what's necessary.
