An interesting site that has a great course layout for Academics is here
http://www.greatbooksacademy.org/GBAStore/Search.bok?keyword=gba&category=EIGHTH%20GRADE%20LEVEL (8th grade)
http://www.greatbooksacademy.org/GBAStore/Search.bok?keyword=gba&category=SEVENTH%20GRADE%20LEVEL (7th grade)
While I’m not impressed with Henty books I will incorporate some of the classics from this list and the above for his reading and I am using some of the suggestions for texts for his education this year.
I am somewhat less impressed with the 9th –12th grade selections but the Great Books Academy does offer a Free Bachelors degree (Not sure if it is accredited yet) if you start the program and stay with the program from 9th grade on. The catch is you must start the program from 9th grade on and follow it for 4 years. I’m thinking by them he may already have regular college credit in some things so it may not all be worth it.
