All students in my United States History classes are required to
use this form for their weekly news analysis. I also have an HTML version, but the quality
is not as good. Additonally, I have
a site for some online resources.
Mrs. Ruland's Tutorial
on Plagiarism and Paraphrasing
This contains vital information that all students must be familiar
with. The tutorial is available for reference at any time.
I also offer my students bonus opportunities during the year as stated
in the Grading Policy. There are three types of bonuses that are available
at any time. Students are reminded that all bonuses are due no later than
1 week before the end of the marking period.
Museum Exhibit Review (pdf)
Museum Exhibit Review (non-pdf)
Students that have visited a museum or a historic place in the last
6 months may write a review using this format. The most care should
be taken with the last question. That is the answer that will show
that you had some intellectual connection with the site.
WWW Resource Suggestion
Students may suggest a WWW resource to add to my list of resources.
They may also suggest a description for an existing listing. Any new
suggestions must meet criteria for a beneficial research site. Descriptions
must be written in a manner that would be appropriate for a teacher
to use to describe a site. If you want to do a number of descriptions,
you might want to go to a single page and complete a block of links.
(This will make it very easy for me to use your description.)
Extra Credit Cinema
This page gives instructions on what to write to receive bonus credit for watching movies.
