What you can do to help
Even though there is no cure for Multiple Sclerosis up to this date there are still many things you can do to help. You can help people with Multiple Sclerosis even if you do have MS or if you don't. The possibilities of doing things that can help the finding of a cure or just helping someone with MS out are nearly endless. One of the biggest things people could do to help find a cure and help others with MS is to raise awareness of this disease to educated people on what MS is and as Kym Sellers says "MS isn't a death sentence, but living with it is a life sentence." People with MS are in need of help and why not be the person to help them.
Victims of this cruel disease can end up needing help with everyday parts of
there lives. What you can do to help those people is volunteer to do things that
they would have trouble doing. For example, if a person with MS was suffering
from weak muscles and poor mobility then you could volunteer to clean up their
house or yard. Just by helping them it could relieve stress they might have
built up from the work continuously stacking up. Cleaning is not the only thing
you could do, to help you could volunteer to
pick up
groceries for them at the store
or you could drive them to doctor appointments or to neurologist
appointments.

Helping out the victims of MS with their everyday tasks can be very helpful to everyone, but so can the raising of Multiple Sclerosis awareness. Without the awareness of MS you probably wouldn't know what Multiple Sclerosis is and therefore are less likely to volunteer to help someone with something you know nothing about. Raising awareness is essential to finding a cure for MS and it improves the assistance personally to people with Multiple Sclerosis. With more awareness of this disease people possibly are more likely to donate money to foundations that work on finding a cure or helping the everyday lives of people with MS. There are people out there that run foundations solely based on raising awareness of MS to help find a cure. An example of one of these foundations is the Kym Sellers Foundation. This foundation was created by Kym Sellers at a young age, who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1992. This foundation assists the community and educates people about Multiple Sclerosis and people that are affected by it.
