We just returned from a week in the East. Traveled to Connecticut, Rhode Island,
Mass, and NYC.
Eryn negotiated and purchased this plastic replica of NYC. She did a great
job talking to the street vendor and figuring out a price.
Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center) in NYC. Behind us is Central Park
(to the left).
Ryan standing inside the United Nations cenference Center. We took the
tour which included details of the general operations of the UN.

Boston shot of thier Bridge. Had a great time in Boston as the City wasn't
so busy and we could get around by walking.
Our Boston day included a Duck Tour of the City.
In a bus that also went into the river that goes through Boston. Here's
a shot from the water.
We toured the USS Nautilus (first Nuclear Sub) in Conn.
Eryn and Ryan sit at some weaponry at the USS Nautilus.
From inside the Museum, we could look through a periscope into the parking
lot. If you look closely, you can see cross hairs in this photograph.
Pictures of us entering the USS Nautilus for the tour. These guys go under
water for 3-4 months at a time. The Nautilus carries enough fuel for 5-10
years of use before refueling.
'The Breakers' in Newport, RI. This is the Vanderbilt Mansion that is
138,000 sq ft. It was used as their summer home between 1887 and 1891.
We went on a Research Vessel in RI for a half day. While on the boat,
they pulled up sea life from the bottom of the Atlantic. Kids got to handle
and learn about all the stuff at the bottom of the ocean.
Here, Ryan looks for something that needs to be touched.
More sea life to check out.
Ryan's friend Conner was with us on the tour. His father lives in New
London temporarily for work.
Our first night in town, we ate at Mystic Pizza. That is Conner again
in the picture with us.
Ground Zero in NYC. Lots of work has been done. Lots yet to be completed.
Back in Boston. This is a statue of Samuel Adams. We also visited his
gravestone when we were in Boston.
The headstone of the individuals that lost their lives in the Boston Tea
Party.
