About my Teaching
My teaching career started in High School, when I took on a piano student, a neighborhood girl who wanted to learn some piano basics.
In college I started teaching a few private voice students, and kept developing my skills through graduate school.
In 1988 I began my college teaching career at the University of Mississippi, where I taught from 1988 to 1998.
I moved to Boston in 1998 and began teaching some private voice students who were choristers at Trinity Church (Copley Square), and soon after started working with Harvard students in the University Choir at the Memorial Church. A year later I was hired to teach at The Boston Conservatory, where I have been since the fall of 1999. In 2002 I also started teaching some students at Tufts University, and I continue to teach there as well.
