PROGRAMS The Susquehanna Flats Environmental Center (SFEC)Interprets the Environmental-Cultural-Economic links of the Upper Chesapeake and Lower Susquehanna region. Providing Museum Members and visitors to the region tools and knowledge to help preserve and restore this priceless heritage. Programs include: Lectures, demonstrations, workshops, classes and service projects to improve the quality of the environment. The Chesapeake Wooden Boat Builders School preserves the ancient art of building wooden boats by sharing this skill with new and continuing students each Tuesday evening year round. The public is invited to watch these skilled craftsmen hard at work restoring and repairing classic wooden boats or modeling and building newer versions.
