On Friday evening, November 19, 2004, prior to opening night of the variety show,
"An Evening Celebrating A Star", a ceremony was held to dedicate the auditorium
at Lawncrest Recreation Center in the name of the Lawncrest Musical Players'
longtime director, Tom Korytowski. Besides officially renaming the auditorium
as the Tom Korytowski Auditorium, a plaque, with Tom's picture and an appropriate
sentiment was unveiled. The plaque will hang in the auditorium as
a constant reminder of Tom's hard work and dedication to the Musical Players.
A quilt, made from t-shirts from the many productions staged by the Musical
Players was displayed for the first time, as well. This quilt will also
hang in the auditorium as a testament to the years of presentations that Tom
had his hand in. |
