The Tribute to Tom Korytowski
Tom Korytowski, the founder of the Lawncrest Musical Players, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2004 after a long illness.  Over the ??? years that he was connected with Philadelphia community theater, he touched the lives of countless people through his enthusiasm, generosity and genuine love for what he did.

On Friday evening, May 21, 2004, a group of past and present Musical Players, friends and co-workers joined together to celebrate his life, through recollections, songs, heartfelt tributes and multimedia presentations.

The group was not restricted by age; both contemporaries and school children, and everyone in between, took part.  Neither was geography a limiting factor, with people from as far away as California coming to be part of the gathering.

A plan for the dedication of the auditorium at Lawncrest Recreation Center in his name in the near future was announced, as well as the first mention of the establishment of the Tom Korytowski Foundation.
