Event Details:

Alhamdulillah, this event was a tremendous success. There were over 140 Muslim professionals in attendance and it was each and every one of them that made the event a success. We had attendees from as far away as London, England, as well as from all over the U.S. and we enjoyed meeting them all. We hope it was worth their time to make the trip, and look forward to keeping in touch with all our new friends. 

The speaker at this event was Helal Omera, who is the Northern California Executive Director for CAIR - Council on American Islamic Relations. He gave a short talk on the important role CAIR is providing for us Muslims here in the U.S. He urged us all to get involved with Muslim organizations such as CAIR and also our communities. We thank Mr. Omera for taking time out of his busy schedule to come speak with us. 

The evening was filled with fun activities to make sure everyone met the most number of people at the event. There were also some very creative and hilariously funny activities which provided some great laughs for all of us. 

This event was made possible by tireless efforts by not just our core team, but by an army of volunteers and we would like to extend thanks to every single one of them. In no particular order, we would like to thank 

• Danyal and Razina for their help in making our attendees feel welcome and minding the front desk registration 
• Bilal and Ayesha for meeting and greeting the guests, minding the front desk, along with various other tasks 
• Hassen Dakroub, Mrs. Shehnaz Khan, Mrs. Shaheen Khan, and Mrs. Asfia Ali for completely handling all the food and kitchen duties
• Shareef for arranging the venue for us, and without whom we would not have gotten such an amazing place to hold our event. 
• Adil for setting  up the PA system for us so we would not lose our voices to make ourselves heard. 
• Edgar for helping us market our event through the local masjids and also for helping tremendously at the event. 
• Kayyum Mansoor for all his help in coordinating the activities for day 2 of our Tour de San Francisco. 

In the end, any event is only as good as the people who attend it. So we thank all the Muslim professionals who came to our event from all over, working in varied fields, from all walks of life, and made this Muslim Gatherings a great place to be this Saturday night. We look forward to seeing all of you again at our next MG, if not sooner.
