Muslim Gatherings was started by a handful of young professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area that wanted a place to meet and get to know other young Muslims in a professional environment. We were looking for a place that didn’t have the pretentiousness of a wedding, or an Eid festival, but a fun social venue where people can meet others, talk, make professional relationships and hopefully learn something new every time. We also wanted this venue to be at a place where our values of Islam cannot be so easily overlooked.

The backgrounds of the organizers are in various professional fields, like law, engineering, marketing, finance, management, and IT. We all do this in our spare times, and not for profit. We come from educated families, some born and educated in the U.S. and some abroad, and we realize the advantages of living in this multi-cultural, multi-national melting pot we all call home. Which is why we all enjoy meeting Muslims from all lands and cultures.
