Friday Flyer Ride Information

About the Ride:

Friday evenings after Daylight Savings Time begins - a short but intense group ride. The hope is that the riders can push each other to improve fitness and  group riding skills in a friendly way. The Friday Flyer will happen every Friday evening during daylight savings time, starting at Fossil Ridge High School, and following a regular route (MAP). The ride will be 60-90 minutes depending on how much daylight we have and how fast we're going. The pace should be 18 to 22 mph, getting faster as the summer goes by. The group will work together, but some riders may be dropped. Every rider should be prepared to make their own repairs, but the hope is that riders will develop enough camaraderie that one person will stop to aid anyone who has mechanical trouble. Meet in the southeast corner of the Fossil Ridge High School parking lot, 5400 Ziegler Rd.

Ride Pace:

This ride qualifies for an A - AX ride.   I have done this ride a few times and it gets pretty fast but everyone is friendly.  This is a much easier ride than the TTH or Oval rides. This a nice group and the rides are generally "no-drop" as long as the riders are of resonable strength.  Overall avg speeds are in the 19 - 21 range.

Distance:

Distance will also vary but is usually 28 miles or so.

Ride leader, Dave Newman.
