Amazing Little Creatures

During the 1990s, after years of keeping company with various stray cats, I was ready for a change and decided on a hamster. For the next 10 years there were hamsters in my home doing some incredible things. I hear stories of hamsters getting out of their cages and disappearing forever in the walls never to be seen again. I've had hamsters get out in the night and come to my bedroom, find a way onto the bed and climb to my face and wake me up like a cat does. The first time this happened I nearly killed the pet by throwing him off the bed, but once I realized what was going on, I got used to feeling tiny feet crawling on me in the night.

There is one not pictured here. He lived with me for only a week. His name was Tiki and he came home with me along with Easter in 2009. He was sickly when I got him and gone soon after. His replacement was Morocco  Mole (or M&M). He was thus named because his first week he wanted to sleep and live in the tubes rather than one of the rooms offered him. After 2 attempts, he now lives in a single room with the only tubes going vertical which only proves I can outsmart of gerbil! Enjoy the pics.
