Touch of Love All day we've loved Holding each other Arms not tiring Of your touch,
A touch warm, gentle Yet bold, I should not be withheld On that day, This day,
To steal away the hours And rest with you In an open land Where there's no time
I was withdrawn in my song Swallowed up by winter's Hand until your fiery heart Pulled me to warmth.
This was my dream, Wishing long to be here Knowing it was you All along.
Dave Barber's latest collection of poetry, inspired by a life growing up in south Texas, is "Life in a Minor Key" and is available at www.kingfisherbooks.com Many times today, you've heard of reaching the 'sweet spot' in life. It's become a national pastime. Whole books have been written on how to pursue it, capture it and indulge in it. This book focused on it being all right to have a common life. Life in a Minor Key explores life growing up in a small town and loving it. It's a minor key, but the song is sweet.
