Dj Rules

• No drama on or off air and in rooms if there is a prob bring it to shelly or AlphaWolfe and or take it to pm.
• Not too keen on politics and religion in channel or on air. They are touchy subjects, so they can easily can offend and cause problems so i really prefer to stay away from them
• No "going off" on air. Soap Box is one thing and can be fun. But a yelling rant is never called for. No cutting down of other station or people on air.
• No harassing other djs to promote your shows and all. We have promos for that and they are played. Just helps to keep things running smooth.
• Be in #Mystic_Radio at least 10 min prior to show. Take time to know your schedule. It is at http://home.comcast.net/~mystic_radio/schedule.html
• Please don't play more then 3 songs by the same artist within a hour. Thanks.
• You can travel to other rooms not on our sponsored list. But please make sure with the ops you first are welcome and second not stepping on another station's toes.
• Shit happens. Real Life comes first and all, but if you are going to miss your time slot do everyone a favor and either post it on the dj user group or let shelly/AlphaWolfe know so a replacement can be found. If shelly/AlphaWolfe is away and it's between 12 pm and 9 pm best to let someone else know and tell the dj user group.
• I really don't test dj's out, that is sorta done the first show. If you would like to test out before hand that is cool and all just not while another dj is on air. It can be done when auto is running.
• Communication is the key to success. If there is something you don't understand, got your feelings hurt over, or what ever please please talk it out (this doesn't mean jump on someone), it will help to avoid miscommunications.
• No color scripts while djing please, some of the rooms have rules against them and complain so please turn off your color scripts.
• Promos are not paid for nor do we get a kick back but the channels generate our listeners base so please play promos durning your show. I am not saying which ones or how many just that some get played.
• Do NOT kick stream with out first asking in channel and/or pming the individual who has stream running on Auto. (This of course is not valid if the server auto dj is on) Even though it's Auto request are played, also a pass when possible is allot smoother.
• Senior Dj's only have the right to kick stream, there is generally someone around if you don't have the ability yet. If there is someone in the dj nick and they appear away pm them and give them a little time before kicking. RL does cut in time to time and kicking is hard on the listeners when it cuts a song out.
• DJing time is NOT meant for auto time. That is what auto is for. If djing take turns being active in rooms, talking and getting to know the people - they don't listen to strangers. Granted sometimes specially summer it's dead but not always and every time you are on. Talk on air, joke around - have fun. Pay attention to the Music Room. Highlight your name if needed in IRC if you don't know how ASK.
• Most important rule is to always have fun. If you are not having fun, then it's not for you
