Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.  When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.  There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.  There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.  Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.  The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing.  They each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.  The bright eyes are intent, the eager body begins to quiver.  Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.  The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...

Mosh

4/95-4/23/96

This is Mosh. He passed on to the Rainbow Bridge on 4/23/96 at only 12 months of age after a major surgery, and 6 weeks of treatment which were unsuccessful.  I still miss him.  He was such a goofball, always getting into trouble.

Mackenzie

5/24/98-9/18/04

Mackenzie was born in my home on May 24, 1998.  She was a prissy girl with a gorgeous long black smoke and white coat.  In October of 2003, she was diagnosed with nasal lymphosarcoma.  She lasted almost a full year with minimal treatment and no symptoms.  She was euthanized when her symptoms returned with a vengeance and she was no longer comfortable.  She was 6 years 4 months old.

Harley

5/98-1/30/05

Harley came into my life when my then husband found her in the middle of the street when she was around 12 weeks old.  She was a sweet girl with an adorable face.  We are not completely sure why Harley got so sick so fast, but the vet thought it was an immune system problem.   She went to the Rainbow Bridge on January 30, 2005.  She was almost 7 years old.

Madison

8/16/94-2/27/05

Madison was the light of my life.  She came into my life when she was about 8 weeks of age.  A tiny little blue point Siamese who stole my heart.  She suffered from some neurological damage in her back, which only affected her later in life, and a very serious heart condition.  This heart condition claimed her life on February 27, 2005.  She went peacefully in my arms with the help of the vet.  She took a huge piece of my heart with her.  She was 10 and a half years old.

Bridget the Midget Queen O The Blues

8/31/04-5/23/05

Though she wasn't my cat, Bridget holds a special place in my heart.  She was the littermate to my little girl Gidget.  She was an F2 sphynx who was just way too tiny.  She was just the cutest and sweetest girl you could ever imagine, and was loved by all who met her.
