Welcome to my virtual library!

My vision for a school library is that all members of a school community will become effective seekers, users, and evaluators of information in a safe and friendly environment. Every school library should also offer the opportunity for its community members to hear and read quality children's literature.  This website will offer new opportunities for both adults and children to sample quality websites, learn the skills which will help them find and evaluate information, and become aware of quality children's literature.

Dear Parents and Students,

Since I am no longer able to see you each day, I have decided to update this website by replacing Special Days with a reading diary.  I will give you a list and description of the books I am reading.  They will be old titles and new titles.  Most will be found in the school library.  All of them will be available through the town library.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.  You can write your comments to me at my email address below.  Remember to put North Beverly in the subject box so I know it is from a student or North Beverly family.

I am also updating each of the sections of the website.  As I update each one, I will note it on this page.

    Book Talk  The 2007 Children's Book Award Winners are listed here.  The Massachusetts Children's Book award List for 2008 will be listed in May. (the 2007 list is posted here.) All of the Award Books have been updated as of March 3, 2007.
