2/03/13 After much consideration and with feedback from our listeners I have made some major changes to the scannner. When I started, there were few live scanners and hence I cast a wide net. Now there are many and the ability to scan multiple ones at he same time on your desktop. As a result I have done away with most of Plymouth County escept for county control andtown of Plymouth. Mass DCR fire remains as they broadcast any 3rd alarm or greater via MEMA. The Cape M/A channels are also on that side

By doing this it elimiates many of the weaker Plymouth County stations that were distracting. Also by having the Cape M/A channels on the right, it should alleviate the traffic jams when there is a major fire on the Cape. Your feedback is always welcome. /

5/22/10 We are now streaming to radioreference.com Click live audio//Massachusetts/Barnstable County-choose either Winamp or Java Web Player. If you don't have Winamp, It is available free at winamp.com As part of the forthcoming rebanding of the 800 system we have upgraded our receiver with a compatible model. Alpha tags are available for the Cape Cod FDs only. The stand alone Windows Media Feed has been discontinued to save bandwidth. It will be restarted should radioreference go down. Thank you for your patience during this transition.

2/10/03: Connecting to the live scanner above is like listening to two scanners in one. The Cape Cod Live Scanner remains the core system and is always available on the left channel The SE Mass scanner on the right channel may also redirected to special events as needed and may be covering any event I am aware of when I am home. If it is too much or you only want the Cape, use your balance control to fade out the right channel. On most systems you need only to click the speaker icon on your taskbar to find the balance control.
