Now true GE monitoring is here! You'll need to get a program called ETrax available at
various dealers including Grove Enterprises. At
this time the program only runs with the Optocom from
Opto
Electronics but will be updated to work with
other receivers. Note: I am not affiliated with or promoting any of the
above companies.
Hook up the optocom
to a computer with the supplied cable. Make sure stand alone mode is disabled
on the
optocom. Installed etrax
on your computer. You need to make a file. Use MS-DOS
edit command to create
the following file in the etrax
directory as indicated in the etrax instructions:
Note: be sure to name the file
"worc" or
whatever but not "worc.txt" it won't work. No file extension!
For the Trunktracker II I will convert hex to decimal as well

Groups are the groups you want to listen to in
scan mode-instead of everything
Lockouts are groups you don't want to listen to
in search mode. Useful for "muting"
busy users like the police so you can discover
other users
Tags are the identifers
so that when say the program tunes into, say group 421 it will read Police F1
