All you need to use this controller are 2 cables. The first is a serial cable (thats the 9 pin serial or comport cable you use on your computer). The one you want is a 9 pin male to 9 pin female. DO NOT USE a "null modem cable" as it will not work. The second cable is an 1/8" to 1/8" mono phono cable. Both of these cables can be found at "The Shack" or other computer type store. Now, just plug the serial cable into one of your "com/serial" ports on your computer and the appropriate end of the controller. Next plug the 1/8" mono cable into the jack on the back of your radio marked "Remote" and the other end into the controller. THATS IT! Now make sure your program is set to the right comport and your radio settings are correct and enjoy your new controller. If you do not have a comport on your computer you can use a serial to USB adaptor. They work well.
