| The Celtic harp takes you on a journey into the heart of the Celtic soul with selections ranging from haunting to sprightly. This CD is a compilation of tunes from Ireland, Scotland and Wales, arranged by Nancy Davis and played on solo lever harp. All were chosen with the title tune "The Sequestered Beauty" in mind. Each has some unanticipated meaning, some element of surprise, whether it is a haunting tune written in honor of a military hero or as a "work" song, one that speaks to the beauty of people and places so isolated as to be virtually hidden, one that reveals the unpredictable nature of love, or simply a traditional tune played with an unusual twist. | ||||

| "I love the mix of traditional Celtic tunes with ones that are not as well known. It is VERY well recorded, my kudos to the engineer for his expertise ... Your performances are top notch! I will be playing selections from your CD on my show on November 6th and 9th . . eventually I will get around to playing ALL the tracks. They are THAT good. I have to admit that I was blown away when I first heard your recording and couldn't wait to air it."

| "As the producer of a folk and Celtic music radio program, I'm happy to have a well-done harp offering that goes beyond the normal everyday Celtic harp selections… a wonderful selection, extremely well executed and crisply realized… indicative of a solid and accomplished musical background… strongly melodic with no unnecessary frills… brings to mind some of the strength of Sileas."

| "I thought I would turn this CD on while I was working on something else but I had to just stop and lie down and listen to it twice through. It blew me away. It took me on a wonderful journey that I didn't want to end. This CD is magical."

| "The word wonderful doesn't describe how beautiful this CD is. Nancy's ability to play and her creative arrangements are beyond anything I've heard in a long time. The harp is a very difficult instrument to record, however this recording sounds as if you are sitting in the same room as the harp. The songs range from lilting to fast paced syncopated rhythms which make you sit in awe of the harper's ability. You don't want to miss this CD.

| You will sail across the sea with the haunting Arran Boat Song; journey to the misty Isle of Skye and the Isle of Inis Siar; and fly on the South Wind to Mayo, Ireland when you listen to this beautiful CD by harpist Nancy Davis. Her playing is as skilled as any Celtic harpist I’ve heard and her gorgeous arrangements are lush and full, but keep a traditional feel. ..this CD is beautiful & soothing and would be a welcome addition to your harp, Celtic, or relaxation music collections. | "Sequestered Beauty" was recorded on an "Aberdeen Meadows" lever harp, built of cherry wood by William Rees, a harp known for its rich, sweet, clear tone. Its sound was beautifully reproduced for this CD by John Benham of Benham Audiophile Recording. Colin Sean Mahoney did the final mastering. | ||||
