We are proud parents of twin sons Nathan & Calvin. Nate was born with a rare genetic disorder called Trisomy 7p and is physically & mentally challenged. Having multiple disabilities means lots of different care and equipment is needed to help Nate experience many of the things we take for granted. Unfortunately we have found that most of the necessities Nate is in need of are not covered under insurance and have been priced way out of our range.

Based on the above facts we have taken it upon ourselves to create for Nate many of the items we could not otherwise afford. The first item we created was a bed (Stirsy1) which provided Nate with the safety features necessary while still maintaining the look of a 'normal' bed. The Stirsy1 is a single rail bed with the rails providing approximately 16" of height between the top of the mattress to top of the rail (this model is for individuals that cannot sit up on their own but are a risk of rolling out of bed). Soon after we modified Nate's bed to include a double rail (Stirsy2) to provide additional rail height for those individuals that can sit up on their own but cannot pull themselves into a standing position or have the ability to climb. 

We only offer our beds in Standard Twin bed size (accomodates box spring & mattresses with approximate dimensions of 75" L x 38.5" W). We will paint or stain the bed any color you choose for the quoted price.
