Once upon a time there was a concept called feminism. It was ok... equality, basic respect... that sort of thing.

Then when they basically got those goals, came the fanatics. These were the ones who basically wanted the old system reversed. Primary to their credo was a mantra of man-hating. Women could exist in the world without men at all, and likely would be better off that way, as would the planet.

Now, clearly not all who believe in equal rights and basic respect for women fall into this category, but to a large degree the main spokespeople for the 'feminist agenda' DO fall into this category. In reading some of their tripe I have found some of the most venomous, vicious, manhating crap it has ever been my misfortune to read.

And they are so wrapped up in their deathspiral of rhetoric they cannot see how they are destroying the entire concept of feminism, because now whenever anyone thinks of feminism they think of these lunatic fringe whackos... the types who submarined the ERA with their crap about 'personhole covers' etc.
